Job Description:

Our work depends on a Systems Test Engineer joining our ECSEL team onsite at Point Mugu, CA.
This position is pending funding.
HOW OUR SYSTEMS TEST ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Participate in systems requirements discussions and Engineering Design Reviews to help drive systems design and the implementation of test methodologies and guidelines
Review technical architecture documents, design and user documentation, product specifications and requirements; identify documentation defects and suggest corrections
Determine resource and equipment needs for systems integration and test; provide labor and schedule estimates for product support; prioritize tasking to support customer schedules
Develop systems and software test procedures, write test plans, and create test cases based on requirements and design documentation
Participate in system installation and configuration; diagnose, analyze, and solve problems discovered during system setup and developmental testing
Execute systems tests to verify design and requirements implementation to include quick-look, functional, regression, and scenario-based testing
Assess compliance with requirements, design goals, security, systems performance, and usability; identify systems and software defects and analyze their causes
Document hardware and software systems malfunctions and defects using a bug tracking system; report defects to systems developers; track, test, and report on defect resolution
Run Systems Engineering Review Boards to discuss, analyze, and disposition reported defects
Assess systems, project, and schedule risks and help develop mitigation plans
Write comprehensive test reports documenting test results and systems anomalies; provide end-user suitability recommendations; manage the test reports through the approval process; draft supporting documentation capturing the entire test effort
Prepare, execute, and evaluate enhanced developmental test events involving end-user participation
Work at the customer's site with government personnel to ensure program success

The likely salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
